Please fill out this Equine & Livestock Adopter Interest Form. We will reach out shortly to confirm receipt of your information and talk about the next steps!
It is the intent of the Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT) to only adopt animals to individuals who agree not sell the animals for slaughter. In addition, we know that equine and livestock ownership comes with its own set of special educational, financial, and logistical requirements. It is our goal to match the right human to the right animal. Let us help direct you if you have questions!
Forms will be processed in the order received. We only set up appointments once this interest in adoption form is completed. Keep in mind, this form is just to give us more information about you and your desired pet. Once you meet our animals in person and all agree the animal you choose is a good fit, you can then fill out the adoption contract. Because equines are herd animals, we prefer them to go in pairs if you do not have another equine at home. Please contact us for options! We have several amazing companion animals in need of homes.
If you need to surrender your equine or livestock, please contact our Equine & Livestock Department at (817) 891-6203 or email equine@hsnt.org.
Life can be unpredictable, and we understand that equine owners may face challenges that require temporary assistance in caring for their beloved animals. If this describes your current situation, HSNT may be able to offer resources to help temporarily relieve the pressure.
We need your help! If you have experience with farm animals and time to donate, you can pretend you own a whole herd without bringing them home! Become an HSNT Equine and Livestock Volunteer by filling out an application!
